My Biography
Kerry Lammi is currently living in Turkey where he co-owns a business. His travels and photography have taken him around North America as well as South America, Europe, Asia and Africa. His goal is to promote peace between people of different cultures and ethnic groups through the use of documentary photography.
Kerry Lammi’s love for artistic expression started as a boy by drawing, building or helping his father with projects. This culminated in 1984 by receiving a B.S. in Graphic Design from Bemidji State University in MN where his love for photography began after purchasing his first camera. Since that time he has combined photography with design in advertising agencies, printing houses, newspapers, universities and colleges. One of his specialties—branding through development of a unified image—was formed from 1990-2001 while working with a creative team at Regent University. Combining photography and design, he played a key role branding the university’s nine schools.
While studying for his M.A. in Journalism from Regent University in Virginia, Lammi acquired his love for photographing people from his mentor and professor Naomi Lasdon. His passion for people and different cultures led him on many trips with NGOs, relief organizations and even living cross culturally.
