More about this photo gallery

I was in Sri Lanka the morning of the Boxing Day Tsunami. This is part of the photographic response I produced, which I hope, displays the kindness, courage and dignity shown to me by the beautiful people of the South-West region of Sri Lanka.

I’ve made numerous visits back to Sri Lanka since that day, and these images where produced in 2005 and 2006 and are amongst my proudest photographic works. The black and white images where shot on film using a Hasselblad medium format camera and hand printed, these formed the start of the project and a selection of these early black and white images where displayed as part of my major project during a BA(hons) Photojournalism. They where exhibited in London’s Brick Lane, June 2005.
